CANAN PISKIN 

is a risk and compliance expert with 20   years’ experience accrued at global financial institutions such as HSBC, BNP   Paribas, and Société Générale. Her work has focused on   structuring corporate governance, on creating Compliance, Operational Risk,  and Internal Control departments from   scratch, and on leading multicultural teams.  

She started her coaching practice with an American Business Coaching franchise in Dubai. Her prior experience working abroad includes Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Azerbaijan. Now she is based in the United Kingdom as director of her company, CPM Coaching Consultancy, Ltd. She is a mentor for Women in Banking and Finance Association, London Chapter. Her key endeavours in the corporate world include:

- Structuring of new Compliance, Risk, and Audit functions as well as facilitation/ building of sufficient corporate governance in organizations

- Working under tight deadlines by regulatory authorities and provision of compliant organization required.  

- Working in multinational, thus multicultural environments.

She started career in Internal Audit, pursued 20+ years corporate life in Risk Management and Financial Control functions. Worked in global leading banks like BNP Paribas, Société Générale and HSBC establishing departments and structures from scratch. Prior to establishing the Coaching Business, had been the HSBC MENA Regional Director of Commercial Banking Business Risk Control Management in UAE. She has also lectured in Istanbul University in Financial Management.

Canan is skilled at breaking down complex issues into simple steps that are actionable and feasible. While working for global organizations, she aligned multicultural teams by resolving differences and creating added value synergies. In her coaching and training practice, she uses her own experiences in the corporate world merged with her coaching credentials by Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centred Coaching 

In her executive coaching practice as a business professional, she has coached: C-Suite Executives of eading investment banks, Senior Managers, Social Entrepreneur listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30, and NPO foundation supported by the Presidential Office, Former Country managers in the private sector, and Ivy League graduates working in high potential teams of a holding company. 

Performed workshops, appeared as public speaker in various business communities as well as Global online conferences. 

Happily married with two children enjoying work and life with harmony. She is a fan of Visual Arts and has a diploma from Interior Design Institute.
